We are looking for a high-performing Sales Manager to help us meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth targets by keeping our company competitive and innovative. You will be responsible for maximizing our sales team potential, crafting sales plans and achievement of the same.

Whats the purpose of this role?

Neptunus aims to grow our Engineering Business 10x over the next 5 years, by adding to our Engine Solutions, Reliability Engineering Solutions and EPC Projects Verticals in the Oil and Gas, Marine, Industrial, and Defence Sectors. We have a strong brand in Marine sector, and the purpose of this role is to build and grow that business.

We provide condition based maintenance, remote asset monitoring, oil management, predictive diagnostic tools and IOT solutions to enhance equipment life and ensure zero failures for large rotating equipment such as engines and propulsion systems.

This role will be able to build and grow business in the Marine sector, and enable Neptunus to become one-stop technology solution provider in a growing market.

Key Results (What will I be accountable for?)

1) Achieve 15 Cr of Sales for our products and Services.

- Add 4 new customers in Middle East + 6 new customers in India

- Get 4 rigs with alpha monitoring contract & Get 25 oil management installations

- Offering: Niigata and Caterpillar Solutions, Condition based maintenance, predictive - maintenance and oil management solutions.

- Territory: Focus on West, South and East India; Middle-East.


How will I achieve the key results:-

Account Development

  • Prospect warm leads received from Marketing to identify pain and decision makers
  • Visit Customers, Make technical presentations about Neptunus solutions
  • Handle objections and drive negotiations
  • Close sales to add new accounts

Customer Relationship Management

  • Manage and Engage Accounts
  • Grow accounts through upselling and cross selling.
  • Ensure timely collections to ensure a payment cycle of < 45 days. .

2) Drive Customer Delight to 4.5 out of 5 across all Customers


  • Provide technical responses to queries, provide solutions based on Customer pains.
  • Liaise with other members of the sales team and other engineering service, Operations team member and be the face for the Customer.


3) Build Database of Customers to build pipeline for future


  • Maintain Customer Data in CRM software and create projections
  • Create Prospect List of Customers
  • Provide inputs on strategy to Marketing Team based on on-ground inputs


Knowledge / Skills and behaviors required for the Role.

  • 10+ years of experience in sales: prospecting, need creation, follow up, closing sales, account development and customer relationship management.
  • 5+ years of experience in working on engineering solutions or technologies for technical users (customers).
  • Track Record of adding 3-5 NEW Customers OR 2 cr from new Customers per year over the past 2 years OR handled annual business of 10+ cr
  • Experience with using CRM software(s)

Skills (Functional and Non-Technical):

  • Fluent in English. Can write a 4 page grammatically correct report independently.
  • Ability to articulate thoughts and ideas, make presentations in English

Internal:

  1. Neptunus is a lean organization. The candidate will have access to the Senior-most Management - Directors, Head of Departments.
  2. Will have to work with Sales and Operations Team.

External:

  1. Contact Points will be technical managers, technical heads and directors
  2. As in any Sales role, Direct Contact with Customers Purchase Team is necessary.
